Hawksbill Turtle
The Hawksbill Turtle has a large shell
to protect itself from predators and it has
4 strong flippers to help it swim. It gets
its name from its pointy beak like mouth which
it uses to break off coral to eat. |

Porcupine Fish
The Porcupine Fish has lots of spines
which usually lay flat along its body, but
when attacked by a predator it sucks in lots
of water and inflates itself making the spines
stand up so the predator can't eat it. |

Pipefish
The Pipefish is a long thin fish
related to the Seahorse. Like the Seahorse
it is the male Pipefish that looks after the
eggs by carrying the eggs on its body until
they are ready to hatch. |

Bottlenose
Dolphin
The Bottlenose Dolphin is a very intelligent
animal and can be taught tricks. They are
the largest members of the toothed Whales
family. They hunt for prey in groups called
Schools. |

Octopus
The Octopus has 8 legs which have suckers
on them so it can hold onto rocks and catch
food. They can squirt a cloud of black ink
infront of a predator so that it can't see
the Octopus, allowing it time to escape. |

Grey
Seal
The Grey Seal is a member of the Pinneped
family. When Grey Seal pups are born they
have a white fluffy coat to keep them warm,
as they get older it moults leaving them with
a short grey coat. |
