Shiver me Timbers, it be Pirate Month at SeaQuarium Rhyl!

Ahoy, me Hearties! Prepare for a month ‘o ruckas, hoots and hollars and tales of the sea as the SeaQuarium is taken over by a band of Pirates!
Batten down the hatches, SeaQuarium is being taken over by buccaneers, brigands and privateers, from 1st-31st August, bring your lads and lass’s to SeaQuarium Rhyl where they can join in the Pirate Month celebrations
Staff are busy putting the finishing touches to their own pirate outfits, and any child (3-16yrs) who arrives in full fancy dress will receive 30% off entry into the aquarium when accompanied by an adult, Plus adults, if in full pirate’s attire, will receive 30% off admission too.
As well as all the aquatic displays, the spectacular outdoor Sea Lion Cove and the new fantastic phobia area – Visitors are also able to take part in treasure hunts accompanied by staff in pirate costumes.The month of August will be featuring a variety of fun activities including flag making, storytelling and lots more swashbuckling fun and games.
SeaQuarium Commercial Manager Amanda West said: "Pirate Week has always been one of the most popular events that we have at the aquarium - particularly with our younger visitors, so we thought this year we would expand the event to last a whole month".
We will also need your help in our daily themed seal shows taking places in ‘Dead Man’s Cove’ where our resident seals, Tondy and Solo, need help finding the treasure.
There are a variety of talks and demonstrations throughout the day where guests are invited to learn more about the weird and wonderful oceans, and the pirates that sailed on them! So if you want to join in the fun, then why not hoist the mizzen and set a bearing for SeaQuarium Rhyl.
