THERE'S SOMETHING SPOOKY GOING ON AT SEAQUARIUM RHYL THIS HALLOWEEN

Join Staff at SeaQuarium Rhyl for a season of witches, ghosts and eerie tales in Spooky Spectacular from 24th October -1st November 2015. Full of family fun, spooky shows and Halloween crafts, it is the perfect way to celebrate October half term and brighten up the spookiest of seasons! 

Sea-Scary-Um provides a safe and friendly environment for the whole family and provides fun in costume alongside snakes, rats, and spider crabs! Enjoy Trick-or-Treat cauldrons in each zone and join in with Halloween-themed crafts, spooky story-telling and traditional Halloween Games. 

Throughout the entire event staff will be dressed in all kinds of guises to capture the essence of this spooky time of the year. Visitors will be able to enjoy some extremely close encounters with a variety of creepy creatures, revolting reptiles, fearsome fish and much more. Special demonstrations will include ‘Face Your Phobias` rockpool encounter and the chance to discover gruesome and grisly facts about the marine world’s weirdest inhabitants. Braver visitors will have the chance to get hands on with everything from snails and mealworms to lobster shells and giant crabs.

Aquarist Sam Rees said: “With Halloween falling in the school holidays again this year we’ve decided to highlight some of the scarier aspects of the natural world and the entire centre has been decorated with pumpkins and spider webs. 

As part of the Spooky Spectacular event there will also be evening Torchlight Guided Tours around the SeaQuarium taking place over three nights on 29th 30th, 31st October at selected time slots 5.30pm -7.00pm or 7.30pm -9pm. Places will be limited and visitors must book in advance on 01745 344660. The lights will be low so a torch will be needed”.

Sam continued, “The torchlight tours will provide visitors with a spooky new way of seeing the SeaQuarium and its inhabitants after the lights have gone out. A member of staff will lead small groups around the displays by torchlight to illuminate the way. I am sure the tour will meet some ghostly figures that haunt the centre along the way. There will be a variety of spooky characters and ghostly figures telling eerie tales of the unexpected, and for the ultimate Spooky Spectacular everyone is encouraged to dress up and be prepared for some magical family fun. If you survive the tour, there will be themed games to take part in with a chance to win a few treats, or will they be tricks? There will also be food served in the underwater restaurant and everyone will take away a ghoulish goody bag all for £11.99 per person”.
