SEAQUARIUM CELEBRATES NEW ARRIVALS IN ‘TROPICAL REEF ZONE
Release Date: Tuesday 30 September 2014
Weston-super-Mare SeaQuarium is thrilled to announce new arrivals in the ‘Tropical Reef Zone’. The zone is one of 10 themed zones in SeaQuarium which feature a diverse range of marine, freshwater and tropical exhibits for visitors to marvel at and enjoy.
The Tropical Reef Zone already boasts puffer fish, lionfish, moray eels, cat shark and tangs to name but a few and has just become even more colourful with the latest arrivals. Visitors can now gaze at Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish, Longhorn Cowfish, Bird Wrasse, Emperor Angelfish and Striped Shrimpfish.
SeaQuarium Aquarist, Stacey Dabinett said “SeaQuarium prides itself on having a diverse range of exhibits for our visitors to enjoy and we seek to enhance and develop the zones for future enjoyment. Visitors can marvel at the carnival of colours within the reef fish tanks. One of the more colourful species new to SeaQuarium is the Bird Wrasse (Gomphosus varius) which is native on coral reefs in the eastern Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.”
Visitors can watch and learn about the Tropical Reef Zone and its inhabitants on a daily basis including the daily ‘Tropical Reef Breakfast Feed and Talk”.
SeaQuarium is open from 10.00am daily with talks, feeds and presentations taking place at regular intervals throughout the day with the ‘Main Feed’ daily at 2.30pm.
