WORLD OCEANS DAY!
Release Date: Tuesday 06 June 2017
Did you know that the earth is 71% water? We use it every day – to wash with, to quench our thirst, to flush the toilet and, if it’s not too cold, to swim in!
Our aquatic residents here at the aquarium demand good quality water and we can provide that with mechanical equipment, such as pumps and filters. In the wild, nature takes care of such requests, but humans can affect the quality through their individual actions. Pollution and overfishing damages seas and oceans, so during World Oceans Day here at SeaQuarium Weston, we will be celebrating the deep blue by looking at how you can make a difference!
Join us for World Oceans Day, where you’ll have a chance to journey through our ten zones, all of which feature information boards relating to all aspects of marine life, conservation and welfare. With over 30 exhibits with species ranging from lionfish and jellyfish to sharks and rays and hands-on close encounters and presentations all included in the price of the admission ticket, you will be kept enthralled throughout your visit. The main feed each day could be the rays, piranhas, tropical fish or even our sharks and will take place at 2.30pm each day.
SeaQuarium Weston will be open daily from 10.00am, last admissions are at 16:00 on weekdays and 17:00pm on weekends.
Admission costs £9.50 for adults, £7.50 for children and £8.50 for concessions. Admission is free for children under three years old. Prices include a re-entry hand stamp that allows visitors to come and go as they please during the day of issue.
