SEAQUARIUM BY TORCHLIGHT

Witches, ghosts and a host of creepy creatures will be inviting visitors to join in for Halloween-themed fun at SeaQuarium Weston-super-Mare this October.
SeaQuarium is opening its doors on its Spooky Spectacular event once again and this time it promises to have even more ghoulish family filled fun to experience.
The event offers spooky shows, crafts and storytelling as well as the chance to “face your phobias” in the phobia zone, where you can find out some gruesome facts about some very strange inhabitants.
The Halloween celebrations get under way on Saturday 22nd October and will run until Sunday 29th October during which, visitors can make their own ghost of the sea to take home, take part in Jasper the Jellyfish’s trail and see if they can unlock the mystery of the spooky spell.
There will also be the chance to explore the aquarium’s underwater world after dark with a torchlight guided tour only on 22nd October and 29th October at 6pm-7pm.
Senior Supervisor Matthew Hardy said: “We are thrilled to have our Spooky Spectacular return this year. We aim to make this year even more terrifying with the inclusion of our new rats. Rats have always been a focus of Halloween and this year we plan on making them a part of our frightful phobia handling demonstration. Also by coming along to our torchlight tour you are able to have a unique insight into our resident habitants’ escapades, after the dark creeps in.”
He continued, “Your tour guide, with only torchlight in hand to guide the way, will lead the group around the aquarium with facts a-plenty as you venture through the SS SeaQ and learn an ancient tale full of ghostly figures and frights. We encourage everyone to take part and be a part of the show by dressing up in spooky costumes.”
For those brave enough to complete the tour, there will be themed games to take part in too and everyone who takes part will get a ghoulish goody bag as a souvenir of their evening.
SeaQuarium is open daily from 10am with last admission at 5pm. Standard admission prices are £9.50 for adults and £7.50 for children. Booking is advised for the torchlight tours.
