Making friends at SeaQuarium Weston
Release Date: Thursday 25 April 2013
Some of the animals found at the Weston SeaQuarium are getting into the bank holiday family spirit by making new and sometimes strange friends. The Water Dragon is so happy sharing his home with his turtle friends that he has been seen hanging out on top of them as they warm up under the heat lamp.
Many of the fish also seem to be enjoying the time with their tank mates, even our many brother and sister groups, such as our clownfish shoal, baby thornback rays and baby freshwater stingrays, who like every family on bank holiday may have the occasional family tantrum.
Come and see our Piranhas that can live in groups of up to a thousand in the wild but have grown to a very large and old age at SeaQuarium with their life long tank friends. As well as our new arrivals the Moon Jellyfish that can rival any fish shoal by creating massive swarms in the wild.
So spend some quality time this bank holiday with your family and friends and meet many of our fish who love spending time with theirs. We have welcomed many new friends to our SeaQuarium family this year so enjoy a fun filled day out as you explore our other friendly and sometimes dangerous animals. Join the ‘Hands on’team and make some new friends when you get up close with our rock pool creatures and even make your own ‘friend’out of air dough and card during our ‘Hands On’creative play sessions running over the bank holiday weekend.
Weston-super-Mare SeaQuarium is open daily with opening hours extended to last admissions at 5pm, closing at 6pm, for the bank holiday weekend.
