SEAQUARIUM SEEKS EXPLORERS
Release Date: Wednesday 02 August 2017
From 1 August to 31 August 2017, SeaQuarium Weston is hosting their annual Explorer’s Event.
Budding explorers are invited to join Livingstone the Explorer and Sid the Shark for the month-long event, as they delve below the waves to search for all of the colourful inhabitants around the aquarium.
During Explorers Month, guests are invited to the various talks, feeds and demonstrations taking place throughout the day, where they can learn more about the weird and wonderful oceans of the world.
There will also be an exciting trail for little explorers to complete, for a small fee. All they need to do is help Livingstone the Explorer by solving clues and seeking out some of the fantastic creatures, to earn an Explorer’s sticker badge and prize.
Guests can become an explorer for the day and even have the chance to get up close and personal with some creepy crawlies in the phobia zone, including stick insects, in the daily interactive demonstration!
Aquarist, Emily Douglas, said, “We are very excited to welcome budding explorers to SeaQuarium Weston. I can’t wait to see all of our guests at the talks, feeds and presentations. With admission being valid all day, it gives the explorers a chance to go and investigate our coastline and find out what wonders are out there, then pop back to the SeaQuarium for the various talks, or to relax in our cafe!”
Additional to the encounters and trails, guests can stop by the free Explorer’s Craft Club aimed at children and families and create their own sea creature to take home.
There is even the chance to meet Livingstone the Explorer and Sid the Shark, who will be making appearances over the event to see how guests are getting along with their underwater adventure.
