ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR SEAQUARIUM

Staff at Seaquarium, Weston-super-Mare, are gearing up for one of their busiest seasons as the centre is transformed for their first ever Santa at Seaquarium event that starts on 14th December 2013.
 
That’s not all that is going on this winter.  Carpenters will be moving in to create a brand new exhibit for 2014.  Owners also plan to invest in current features and smarten up the public areas.
 
During the build, Seaquarium will be closed to the public Monday to Friday starting on 4th November 2013 to allow works to commence. This is a logical move that comes at a usually quiet time of the year and will avoid causing disruption for Seaquarium visitors. Similarly it allows staff to concentrate fully on the revamp.
 
Curator, Hayley Wood, said “This is an exciting time for Seaquarium.  We have already seen the addition of a new Jellyfish exhibit this year and developed a new-look Spooky Spectacular theme for half term.  We are all looking forward to our first ever Santa at Seaquarium event and showing off our smart new centre next year.  It is likely that in future Seaquarium will continue to close mid-week during the winter to allow for essential maintenance - however we will be fully open at the weekends and during school holidays”
 
Seaquarium is open daily until Sunday, 3rd November 2013 and weekends up to Sunday 9th February 2014, except during the Christmas school holidays when it is also open daily from 14th December to 3rd January 2014.
 
The centre fully opens for the season on Saturday, 15th February 2014.
