Spooky Spectacular at SeaQuarium Weston

Spooky things are happening at SeaQuarium Weston-super-Mare! Staff are becoming quite excited as they put the final touches to their creepy costumes and decorations. This year’s spooky spectacular event opens to visitors on Saturday 17th October 2015 until Sunday 1st November 2015. Spooky Spectacular brings staff and visitor’s together to celebrate the season that is Spooky! As the staff will be wearing spooky inspired costumes for the whole event, visitors are too encouraged to dress up and celebrate the coming of Halloween! Join us for witches, ghosts and eerie tales in our Spooky Spectacular event! Full of family fun, spooky shows and Halloween crafts, it is the perfect way to celebrate October half term and brighten up the spookiest of seasons! There will be a variety of spooky characters and ghostly figures telling eerie tales of the unexpected, and for the ultimate Spooky Spectacular visitors will get the chance to face their fears with close encounters with a variety of creepy creatures! Special demonstrations will include ‘Face Your Phobias` rock pool encounter and the chance to discover gruesome and grisly facts about the marine world’s weirdest inhabitants. New for 2015 guests will be spell bound by the Tale of the Seaquarium Witch! Join us for the most ghoulish and spookiest story ever told, because no Halloween is complete with out a spooky story. There is the opportunity for visitors to take part in “Jaspers craft club” where they can make their very own spooky character to take home with them. For our bravest guests, why not help Jasper the jellyfish complete the Spooky trail* to find his friends who are under a Spooky Spell… in return receive a spooky prize. Deputy Attraction Manager James Press said: We are very excited to hold our Spooky Spectacular event this year! We aim to make this year the most ghastly yet! With the introduction of the witch’s tale, an eearie telling of the spookiest story ever told! The Event will be headlined by the Torchlight Guided Tours around the SeaQuarium taking place over two nights 24th & 31st October at selected time slots 5.30pm -7.00pm or 7.30pm -9pm. Places will be limited and visitors are advised to book in advance on 01934 613361. The torchlight tours provide a unique way to explore the Seaquarium and its underwater inhabitants after the dark creeps in. Your tour guide with only torchlight in hand to guide the way will lead groups around the aquarium. This year there will be scares a plenty as you follow the story of the SS SeaQ, an ancient tale full of ghostly figures and frights of the unexpected. We encourage everyone to take part and be apart of show by dressing up in spooky costumes. If you survive the tour, there will be themed games to take part in if you dare! And everyone who takes part will get a ghoulish goody bag as a souvenir of there evening all for just £9.99 per person” SeaQuarium is open daily from 10am with last admission at 6pm.
